Have you ever wanted to get more involved in GradSWE? Have you ever wanted to share a skill with your fellow SWE friends that has been extremely helpful to know? Wanted an opportunity to work on your leadership skills to build your resume? I am looking for interested members to join my committee to help create content for the GradSWE community! Maybe you want to create a single video, organize your own webinar series, or network with professionals to present talks on their skills/knowledge. Examples of topics can be anything from food and fashion to STEM and life skills. I am currently trying to connect with a woman in Nebraska who opened a second vegan bakery and published her first cookbook during the beginning of the pandemic to give a presentation. Talk about inspirational!
The sky is the limit with the type of content to create, I just need help picking topics and finding people to present! Overall, I am hoping to provide engaging and educational content through live webinars and pre-recorded videos. Whatever your interest may be, I would be happy to connect with you to discuss your goals for getting involved in my committee. The GradSWE website now has a section that you can view videos! If you go to "About GradSWE" then "Videos" you can see recordings from past webinars. Currently there are not many, so help me make more!
