- You will feel compelled to get more involved in SWE in general. Too many people for grad students, who usually prefer to work alone.
- Your network will become so big and diverse that you will forget your own specific and inconsequential interests.
- When working with other talented grad students, the need to compete is real. Be prepared to feel the urge to one-up your colleagues at our team meetings, where people incessantly provide inspiration and good ideas.
- Gaining leadership experience like this requires several hours of work.
- Being on GradSWE requires having opinions and ideas to share.
- Your learnings and experience from GradSWE will infect other aspects of your life, including possibly your school’s SWE section, or other places where you are a leader.
- You might have to work with me. Also, I applied, and I want all the positions to myself.
- The deadline for applying for the GMC-E position is today, and you only have a week to fill out the 15-minute application for other positions!
