MS in Environmental Science, Class of 2021
New Jersey Institute of Technology
We are excited to introduce our other GradSWE Game Night winner, Indrayani Thakare!
Indrayani’s research is on Induction-Surface-Heating Membrane Distillation for water desalination. She is studying a sustainable approach of water desalination (converting seawater to fresh water) to combat the water-energy stress across the globe, using the membrane distillation technique. The research outcomes will not only tackle the challenges in the energy saving and heat loss during membrane desalination, but also pave the way toward high efficiency water production to help solve the water crisis.
Indrayani aims to be an Environmental Specialist designing sustainable solutions for a greener planet and be a United Nations Representative to promote environmental policies for equal natural resources for all living beings.
Indrayani loves to bike and go hiking. She is an avid reader and loves to meet new people and learn their stories.
Fun fact: She can do a handstand and speak Sanskrit!
